Hazardous chemicals and substances can pose serious risks if they are not handled, stored, and used correctly. This Hazardous Chemical Awareness Training provides workers with the information, training and instruction needed to understand the hazards of chemicals used in their workplace and the practical measures that can be applied to control those risks. Participants learn how to interpret labels, locate and use Safety Data Sheets (SDS), understand hazardous chemical registers, apply appropriate control measures, respond to emergencies (spills, first aid and evacuation), and select and maintain suitable PPE.
